Tribute to Dr. Hesham Mohamed MOUSA (q.e.p.d)

The CCAC deeply regret the death of our manager and Chairman Dr. Hesham Mohamed MOUSA, victim of a heart attack at 47 years old, occurred last July in Bogota.

Hesham, leaves an indelible mark as a person and incanzable promoter of the rapprochement with the Arab World.

During the 3 years of his stay in COLOMBIA, he demonstrated his towering qualities as a person and executive to the business community and his circle of close friends.

Continue in his name, with the mission that he undertook.

En la CCAC lamentamos profundamente el fallecimiento de nuestro gestor y Presidente Dr. HESHAM MOHAMED MOUSA, victima de un infarto a sus 47 anos de edad, ocurrido el pasado mes de Julio en Bogota.

HESHAM, nos deja una huella imborrable como persona y promotor incanzable del acercamiento con el Mundo Arabe.

Durante los 3 anos de su permanencia en COLOMBIA, demostro sus altisimas cualidades como persona y ejecutivo ante la comunidad de negocios y en su circulo de amigos cercanos.

Continuaremos en su nombre, con la mision que El emprendio.

BIO CIUDAD MASDAR ABUDHABI UAE



En medio del desierto, con temperaturas que pueden alcanzar los 65 grados centígrados, Abu Dhabi levanta una pionera ciudad limpia y sostenible, un proyecto que ha comenzado a funcionar como puntero centro de investigación y desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías en energías alternativas.

Alrededor de 1.500 empresas de todo el mundo cooperan ya con esta iniciativa.

El objetivo de Abu Dhabi es que la ciudad, que se inaugurará en 2030, cuente con 50.000 habitantes y se convierta en el “Silicon Valley” de las energías alternativas, para lo que aspira a atraer a empresas de todo el mundo.

El proyecto está impulsado por el fondo público soberano para inversiones tecnológicas del emirato, Mubadala, que ha decidido destinar parte de los cuantiosos recursos que obtiene del petróleo en energías limpias, y ha contratado para este futurista enclave al arquitecto Norman Foster.

Los primeros residentes de esta ciudad y centro de investigación y desarrollo son 80 de los 170 estudiantes que han llegado de todo el mundo al Instituto Masdar, un complejo abastecido en su totalidad por energía solar cuyo comportamiento energético servirá de modelo para la localidad.

Está previsto que la central solar de Masdar sea la más grande del mundo y que produzca el 90 por ciento de la energía que necesite la ciudad, mientras que el 10 por ciento restante procederá de la eliminación de residuos, proyecto en el que participa el Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts.

CANCILLER POSESIONA A NUEVO EMBAJADOR DE COLOMBIA EN EMIRATOS ARABES UNIDOS


Bogotá, (Ago. 4 /11) La Canciller María Ángela Holguín posesionó este jueves a Roberto Vélez Vallejo como el nuevo embajador de Colombia en Emiratos Árabes. Economista de profesión, el nuevo embajador ha trabajado con la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros. También se desempeñó como embajador de Colombia en Malasia.

ABOUT MEDELLIN COLOMBIA

Public Transportation
The city offers different transportation alternatives. To get to the event’s venue we suggest the following:
When taking a taxi, we recommend only taken those available at designated pick up points or requesting a service by phone to the following numbers: 361 6464, 444 4444, 444 11 11, 444 0000, 444 5555 and to the airport: 235 7171 or 235 7676.

In the city of Medellin, taxis work with rates regulated by a meter. We recommend requesting the drivers to turn the meter on when boarding and only paying what the same indicates. The minimum rate is $3,900 and service to the international airport Jose Maria Cordova has a rate of $50,000.
Other options are:
Subway: the closest subway station to the event venue is Exposiciones.
Bus: the Tradeshow participants may board a bus on the following roads: Avenida Ferrocarril, Calle San Juan and Calle 33.

What Clothes to Wear
Given that the climate does not change much throughout the year, we recommend using light cotton clothing. If you will be visiting neighboring municipalities, the climate will change for which we recommend warm clothing. Informal clothing is well accepted. If you will be visiting tourist sites, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. When going to restaurants, ties are optional. To attend special events you must wear formal attire.
