The CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, should give a talk on how to do business with the Middle East and North Africa next Friday.

São Paulo – The Arab Colombian Chamber of Commerce (CCAC), in Bogota, will host, from Wednesday (7) to Friday (9), a meeting between class associations, members of the Colombian government and local and Arab businessmen to discuss methods for investment in the Middle East and North Africa. Among the participants at the event will be the CEO of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, who should also give a talk on Friday.

During workshop “Arab countries: gateway into alternative markets”, which will present market, demand, consumer habit, product development and business culture analysis, Alaby will give talk “How to trade with the Arabs”.

“We are going to talk about halal certification, trade with the countries of the Arab world, and are going to help in that respect,” said Alaby. At the workshop, not only Alaby, but also the former Colombian president Ernesto Samper Pizano (1994-1998) should speak.

On Thursday (8), the CCAC should receive businessmen, members of the Colombian government and the presidents of local associations for seminar “What will the future Arab market?” Talks at the “Forum for Integration of Colombia and the Arab World” will include methods for integration of chambers of commerce.

At a cocktail party on Thursday night, a request for inclusion of the CCAC into the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will be signed, as will the inclusion of the CCAC into the Federation of Arab-South American Chambers of Commerce, a channel for dialogue between chambers of commerce in the scope of the Summit of South American-Arab Countries (Aspa), to take place in September, in Peru.
